What drives the QA Wolf bill
QA Wolf sells two ways. The platform is billed per test run, by platform, with no seat fees. The managed services, Jump Start and Coverage-as-a-Service, put QA Wolf's engineers on your test suite and are quoted by sales based on the tests you need.
- How many tests you run, and how often. QA Wolf's own example: 50 web tests run once every business day is 13,000 runs, or $13,000 a year ($1,083 a month).
- Platform. Mobile and desktop runs cost twice as much as web runs.
- Test length. Each run covers 5 minutes, so a 7-minute web test costs $2 a run.
- Managed coverage, priced on the number of tests QA Wolf's team looks after.
- Not seats, parallel runs, AI usage or retries. All are included, and each run gets up to 3 attempts.
Does QA Wolf have a free plan or trial?
There's no free plan. QA Wolf says every new team gets free runs to get started, but doesn't publish how many. When we signed up on 20 Oct 2026, the app asked for $20 of credits before we could continue. On pay-as-you-go, a billing manager can set a monthly spending limit.
