TestOptim AI vs Validate.QA

Validate.QA surveys your app and writes Playwright or Appium tests you own, with self-healing and a free 30-day plan. TestOptim AI explores, generates and runs the suite for you and files failures as issues, with no test code to maintain.

How we compared them

Hands-on, 20 Oct 2026 · Partially tested

We signed up with Google (no card) and ran a site survey of a public demo store. It mapped 9 pages and 8 features and generated 9 Playwright tests over about 45 minutes, flagging a real checkout validation bug.

  • The survey rated checkout as the critical feature and wrote 8 checkout tests.
  • Two tests were quarantined with @bug-found. We confirmed one by hand: the store accepts shipping fields that contain only spaces.
  • Sign-up used a 5-step wizard, then a second sign-in on the workspace domain.
  • The survey reported "No proven login" although we had supplied test credentials.

We ran the same scenario on TestOptim AI and each product we could access: a public demo store built for test-automation practice, its published demo account, a login, an add-to-cart check and a deliberately wrong assertion.
